I have a new answer to what I miss most when I'm in Doha—Green—the tress, shrubs, healthy grass, city parks and forests (aka the Rosedale Valley Road) and houses hidden behind a veil of vines.
Most of June had brought nothing but healthy bouts of rain to Toronto and as a result the city greenery was in prime form. Our backyard, which when I left wast barren and dull looked like something out of a tropical gardening magazine—hanging vines, crawling vines, big palms and all kinds of little lovelies in the planters....
