BEYROUTES a guide to Beirut

Two days is not nearly enough time...

I'm taking the lazy road and only posting photos and the following blurb from the back cover of a book, BEYROUTES a guide to Beirut (http://www.onlab.ch/?ids=2,,63,161) purchased at Papercup a rad little book store in Mar Mikhael (http://papercupstore.com) while away.

The destination of this guidebook is Beirut, one of the grand capitals of the Middle East.Beyroutes presents an exploded view of a city which lives so many double lives and figures in so many truths, myths and historical falsifications that for navigating its streets and its corners you need a whole new set of rules of engagement. Visiting the city with this intimate book as your guide makes you feel disoriented, appreciative, judgmental and perhaps eventually reconciliatory. Beyroutes is the field manual for 21st century urban explorer.

Tasty Brunch - Beirut

Tawlet (which mens kitchen table in Arabic) was by far my favorites eats in Beirut - daily menus set out in a family style buffet are prepared fresh by different regional home chefs... delicious!
